“The Mecosta County Youth Academy is now accepting applications for their camp in July. The Mecosta County Youth Academy is a one-week program for boys and girls ages 12-14. It will be held July 18-22 from 8:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. The academy will focus on several topics, including teamwork, leadership, physical fitness, defensive tactics, firearms safety, first aid, and fire safety. The academy is being sponsored by the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office and the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety.
