Officer Will Sell and Sheriff Brian Miller talked about programs that can get those with mental health issues the help they need vs being arrested, in jail and/or worse. There is a huge crisis that is coming to the forefront with mental health and correlation with that and crime, arrests and more. Jim Samuels - retired Prosecuting Attorney for Mecosta County also chimed in on this and his experience and knowledge with the mental health crisis and pubic safety. Megan Erickson with Meceola 911 talked about her experience with 911 calls and also discussed a new 988 phone feature dial that will help be for those with an emergency mental health situation.
